AMSUN’S LEAVE NO ONE BEHIND CHARITY RUN

The Leave No Medic Behind Charity Run (LNMB), an initiative of the Association of Medical Students of the University of Nairobi (AMSUN), is as an essential fundraising project aimed at supporting the financial needs of underprivileged students in the School of Medicine. This event, held annually, brings together health professionals, enthusiasts, and supporters, united by their passion for making medical education accessible to all.

As medical education costs continue to rise, many aspiring healthcare professionals face financial barriers that may prevent them from pursuing their dreams. The AMSUN – LNMB Charity Run aims to break down these barriers by raising funds to assist needy students in the School of Medicine. The initiative while creating a fundraising platform also fosters a sense of community and solidarity among medical students and healthcare professionals. The Charity Run attracts diverse participants eager to contribute to the cause. Besides the run, the event often features engaging presentations and educational sessions by renowned experts in various fields of medicine, further enriching the experience for all attendees.

The success of the AMSUN – LNMB Charity Run is a testament to the power of community involvement and collaboration in addressing the challenges faced by underprivileged students in the medical field. By participating in the event, attendees help make a tangible difference in the lives of those dedicated to improving their future patients’ health and well-being.

The Wellness Institute Trust (WIT) with its partner HETIF (Health Equity Transformation through Innovation Foundation) will also be a part of the 2024 LNMB Chairty Run on Saturday 4th of May with its own booth aiming to discuss some of its initiatives such as the Beauty is Liver Deep public health campaign with participants to raise awareness.
